Tottonians Titans U14s and Portsmouth were invited by Petersfield to have their first taste of a full 15-a-side game against West Berkshire Warriors at Hungerford RFC on Sunday.

Totts player Mai was nominated captain by the Petersfield coach to take the lead on the pitch.  For the first half they had the uphill disadvantage however getting the first try of the game showed this didn’t matter.

Titan Sofia slotted the ball between the posts for the conversion.  The Warriors returned by scoring four tries but “Ports-Field-Onians” pulled it back with two tries to make the half time score 17-24.

Second half whistle blew and the girls in red scored two tries straight out the gate.  Parent supporters commented on some brutal tackles being made!

Getting into a good flow the three-teamed side went up 32-24.  Berkshire, in blue, got back control to finish the game off punch for punch.  End result 42-34.

Titan Emiley got coaches player of the match for scoring a hatrick.  Then captain Mai got player of the match from West Berkshire Warriors.

One proud coach!
