TOTTONIANS U14s XV 50

VISITING RAIDERS U14 XV 50

Charity Match • 15 May 2026

Tottonians and the wider Hampshire rugby family came together in their droves on Friday evening for a Celebration of Under 14s Rugby at Water Lane as players from Fawley, Winchester, Alton and Andover joined the home club for a match for Totts U14s players Benjamin and Rohan.

The result will show a 50-50 draw, both sides scoring ten tries but that didn’t matter one iota as over 40 young rugby players joined forces to play a hugely entertaining game played with a wide variety of different balls!

From regular rugby balls, to small blue or orange balls, tiny rugby balls, an American Football and even a gigantic rugby ball (as seen in a number of the pictures), the game was played exactly how it should be – with smiles on the faces and enjoyment to the fore.

Organised by James ‘Pasty’ Angove, his wife Grace and Nathan from Fawley RFC along with a number of other volunteers and friends, the rugby family joined together to raise money and show support for Benjamin, who has been diagnosed with leukaemia and Rohan, who sadly suffered a brain aneurism and had spent many weeks in hospital.

Both were on the ground today to see the show of love, support and camaraderie that you fully expect in rugby and the clubs, the players and the supporters did not disappoint either.

With a sensational array of auction items up for grabs – items from Prem Rugby clubs Bath, Sale, Harlequins and Bristol plus former Tottonians player turned Italy international David Sisi throwing his full support towards the stricken club youngsters, it raised some £2,300 across the board with money still coming in from the on-ground BBQ and the growing Go Fund Me page (if you would like to visit their page – it is available on https://www.gofundme.com/f/benjamin-fighting-luekemia)

The outpouring of support was warming to both young lads as they continue their brave battles against their conditions – but Tottonians and the local rugby community once again showed its full backing to them and their families.

Benjamin and Rohan – Tottonians are here for you.  Your rugby family is here for you.
