Tottonians 2nd XV closed the first set of games just one point off the top of Counties 2 Hampshire with a sensational performance in defeating Eastleigh 69-25 at Water Lane, to make it five wins from six.

Player of the Match Dan Fox and winger Alex Machin crossed twice while returning Alex Robinson, birthday boy Bond Carter, the flying Cam Findlay, ever impressive Mason Beech and solid Ben Dolbear and Alfie Filmore all crossed, along with a penalty try to stay in the shake up at the top of the table.

3s RUN ENDS AT CHICHESTER 2s
The 3rd XVs excellent start to the season came to an end as they were beaten 43-20 by a strong Chichester 2s outfit in West Sussex, which sees them in second place behind unbeaten league leaders Kingsclere.

Tries from Alfie Glover, Ben Spafford, Seb Davis-Smith and Regan Stuttard ensured the 3s took a bonus point from the game and kept the pressure on the table toppers.

COLTS MAKE IT FIVE IN A ROW WITH TOUGH PETERSFIELD HOME WIN
Tottonians Colts made it five wins on the spin but not without a scare as they finally eased past Division 1 outfit Petersfield 26-20 on a chilly afternoon at Water Lane.

Two tries by George Havelock set the tone after Sid Tipp opened the scoring and skipper Austin Chester scored the third before the interval but Petersfield hit back with two late scores in the second half and Totts held on.
