It might have been wet, cold and muddy but the smiles say it all as the Under 14 and Under 15 boys squads all took part in a training session with Bath Rugby’s Oli Cattell on Sunday morning at Water Lane.

In a continuation of the link built up between the two clubs, following Mike Fordham delivering a coaching development session back in March, former Scotland Under 18s international and Bath Academy youngster Oli, who is now a senior rugby development officer at the Premiership champions, put the lads through their paces, emparting some key skills to the players as they continue to grow into the game.

Oli was joined and assisted in the coaching session by Tottonians 1st XV second row Dan Williams, who also works for Bath Rugby as a Community coach, although he missed the photo opportunity at the end!

Ryan Martin, who has developed the link between Bath and Tottonians, said “Mike’s session was a coaching development one but this one with Oli was purely a coaching session for the lads and they really enjoyed it, despite the weather!

“It is great that we have this link with such a great club and I am really keen to keep it going and we are already discussing the next event.”

Congratulations to the lads who took part and thank you to Bath Rugby for coming down to take the session.
