Club Club Up Day – a great success!

It was a fantastic effort from everyone as Tottonians’ Club Clean Up Day, as part of Hampshire RFU Rugby Force initiative, ensured the ground and surrounds, inside and out, look in great shape ahead of the new season.

The players, supporters and committee came out in force to work through the Saturday morning and into the afternoon, cleaning, tidying and fixing everything that needed to be done.

Over 70 people came to get Water Lane in top order, including the moving of the kit store into the new container – with cupboards for each and every team – and the transformation of the old kit store into the our new, in-house gymnasium.

New food preparation facilities have also been installed in the clubhouse kitchen in readiness for pre-match lunches, post-match players food and Sunday morning juniors catering plus so much more – and there is still plenty more to do!

Club Chair Wayne Hausen was delighted and wanted to put on record his thanks to everyone who came and participated.  “We want to say a massive thank you to all that took part in the clean up day.

“The club’s new gym is taking shape, the brand new kitchen facilities are up and ready and the club is in great shape for the 2025/26 season!

“Thank you all again everyone, it’s such a great feeling around the club.

“And it is also a thank you to Hampshire RFU for the rugby force donation, which went towards the bacon rolls for the hungry volunteers!”
