Tottonians Rugby Club are offering mental health support every fortnight from 7th January 2026 through the excellent “Man Down” group – and it is available to EVERYONE in the local area.

The groups, run by James ‘Pasty’ Angove, Tom Dando and Mark Hair, will offer a non-judgemental and confidential safe space for all men 18 years+ with mental health concerns.

The sessions, on fortnightly Wednesday nights from 7pm to 9pm, will be held at Tottonians Rugby Club on Water Lane and is open to everyone, not just those associated with the club.

“Man Down have worked considerably with Cornish Pirates as obviously down in Cornwall, rugby is a big movement,” commented Pasty.  “We hope that we can do the same thing, not just for those in our club but for everyone around.  We are open to everyone, we want to help anyone who is struggling in and around the area.

“We also hope to join this up with the Looseheadz stuff that is also going on through Tom.  Mental health is men is a huge stigma and we want to offer that space to help if we can.”
